Our application performs its core functionality locally on your device.
We do not collect, upload, transmit, or store your contacts, call history, or priority group information on our servers.
2. Permissions We Use
Contacts (READ_CONTACTS)
Used only to allow you to select contacts and organize them into custom priority groups.
Phone State (READ_PHONE_STATE)
Used only to detect incoming call events required for the priority alert functionality.
Call Screening Service
The application uses Android's Call Screening Service solely to identify incoming calls and determine whether they match your configured priority contacts.
This service is not used to:
• Block calls
• Reject calls
• Redirect calls
• Record calls
• Upload call information
The app must be set as your device's default Call Screening app for this feature to function. This can be managed at any time through Settings > Apps > Default Apps > Caller ID & Spam App (or Call Screening App, depending on device manufacturer).
In-Call Service
The application uses Android's InCallService solely to detect call state changes (such as when a call is answered or disconnected), allowing the priority alert sound to stop automatically at the correct time.
This service is not used to:
• Access or record call audio
• Store call state information
• Transmit call data anywhere
This service does not require any additional user-granted permission — it functions as part of the device's telecom framework.
Audio Access (READ_MEDIA_AUDIO / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)
Used only to access the device's available ringtone and notification sounds, allowing users to select a preferred alert tone within the app.
Foreground Services (FOREGROUND_SERVICE & FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE)
Used to help ensure configured priority alert sounds can play reliably during incoming calls.
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS)
Used to display foreground service notifications and priority alert notifications.
Device Restart (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED)
Used to restore scheduled alarms after the device restarts, ensuring the app's alert functionality continues to work as configured.
Wake Lock (WAKE_LOCK)
Used temporarily while playing a configured incoming priority alert.
Exact Alarm (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM)
Used only where supported and required for compatible app functionality.
Used to schedule exact alarms required for the app's alert functionality on supported Android versions.
3. Third-Party Services
Our application integrates trusted third-party services for analytics, crash reporting, configuration management, and notifications.
These services may process information such as:
• Advertising ID
• Device model
• Android version
• App performance information
• Crash reports
• Diagnostic information
Third-party services used by this app include:
• Firebase Analytics
• Firebase Crashlytics
• Firebase Remote Config
• Firebase Firestore (used only to fetch the privacy policy link and to support crash-related diagnostics — no contacts, call history, or priority group data is stored here)
• OneSignal
• Microsoft Clarity
These providers process information according to their own privacy policies.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your contacts, call history, or priority group information with third parties.
5. Local Storage
Your priority contact groups, app settings, and alert configurations remain stored locally on your device.
6. Children's Privacy
This application is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Managing Permissions
You can grant or revoke most permissions at any time through:
Settings > Apps > Your App Name > Permissions
Since Call Screening is a system role rather than a standard permission, it is managed separately through:
Settings > Apps > Default Apps > Caller ID & Spam App (or Call Screening App)
